Five years ago, two individuals embarked on a dream and established Acadiana Practitioners in Port Barre. They invested their all into this venture. Today, Rhonda Bergeron and Dustin Miller have expanded to three locations, employ more than 50 individuals, and care for over 100 patients daily.
Our family medical clinic provides extended and weekend hours, setting us apart from other healthcare facilities in the St. Landry parish region. Patients have the option of scheduling appointments or opting for walk-in visits, making it easier for them to receive care. Additionally, we are proud to be a locally-owned establishment with deep roots in the community.

Addressing heart health
We are excited to announce our collaboration with HeartSense! HeartSense is a nonprofit dedicated to addressing healthcare disparities by closing the gap in accessing heart health. Leading the charge is Dr. Antoine Keller, MD, a Cardiothoracic Surgeon that has put his time, energy and extensive knowledge towards the technology we will now have available. Acadiana Practitioners is the first clinic in the country to have this collaboration and access to this technology. Our providers will now each have Point-of-Care artificial intelligence technology. Eko’s innovative AI platform SENSORA™ enables clinicians and healthcare systems to have confidence in diagnosing heart disease, increases the need for surgical intervention, and prolongs the lives of many patients who would not have known otherwise. This is groundbreaking science made available to our patients in our community. In continuing to provide a high level of care to some of our most vulnerable population, this is a significant resource towards addressing heart health.

For the past five years, our team of Nurse Practitioners and staff have been dedicated to providing quality healthcare services to our patients. Our diverse medical staff, consisting of seven Nurse Practitioners in various specialties and a team of 45 employees, along with our genuine compassion and use of advanced technology, enable us to meet your medical needs in a unique way.
